Maintenaince instructions
Modern sun protection fabrics are made of high-quality textiles, which are impregnated with dirt and water-resistant coatings. Depending on if it is a plain or pleated fabric, according to the user frequency, the product age or other influences, a soiling of the tissues can appear. The cleaning should only be done according to the manufacturer's care advice. Further, you can ask your specialist retailer for the cleaning of the sun protection product. In the case of an improper cleaning of the fabrics, the flame-retardant equipment as well as the age-preventing properties can get lost. During the window cleaning you have to pay attention, that no cleaning agents will get in contact with the fabric. For aluminized fabrics, it is regularly necessary to remove the insect excrements, because otherwise the fabric will get damaged.
Maintenance recommendations for sun protection products
DRY-BRUSHABLE FABRICS
Due to their composition or refinement, some fabrics can be only dry-cleaned. The cleaning is made by carefully brushing with a soft brush.
DAMP WIPEABLE FABRIC
Many modern fabrics are made of polyester and can be cleaned damply. Dilute a mild detergent with lukewarm water. Wipe the fabric carefully with the help of this mixture as well as a clean, lint-free cloth. Do not drench the fabric. It is recommended to not use solvents and not to apply cleaning or disinfecting agents on the fabric.
HAND WASHABLE FABRICS
Hand washable fabrics can be washed carefully in a mixture of foam and mild detergent Before starting the wash, you have to remove mechanical parts, such as connecting chains and weightings according to the product type. Electrical parts shouldn’t get in contact with the water. Afterwards, the fabrics have to wash out properly. Press out the water carefully, but do not wrench or wring the fabric.. There are special instructions for the cleaning of pleated blinds.
MACHINE WASHABLE FABRICS
There is a choice of fabrics, which are machine washable at 30°C in the delicate mode. You can use a mild detergent. Please do not use the spin cycle. According to the product type, wash maximally 10 rolled-up slats in a laundry net. Before the wash in the machine, it is necessary to remove electrical and mechanical parts, such as connecting chains or weights.
IRONING
Some flat fabrics can be ironed with a top temperature of the soleplate of 110°C. If necessary, you can put a dry damp cloth between the fabric and the iron or you iron the reverse side. Do not use steam during the ironing. Further, you have to avoid a warping of the fabric.
